La Leche League of Western PA. La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing support, encouragement, information, and education to parents who want to breastfeed. La Leche League of Western Pennsylvania was established in 1980 for the purpose of promoting, protecting and supporting breastfeeding in our Area and beyond. Today, it is comprised of 17 Groups and more than 60 accredited leaders within Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia.
Our Mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

Sunday, March 13, 2011. Education, Skills and Jobs in the KBE. I am writing today as a way to help me sort out thoughts about the relationship between the KBE, job skills and education. I believe I am going to conclude by challenging the notion that the KBE is raising the skills required for jobs today and that education should provide these skills.
